Along with the usual spotlight on all things cool in vintage/heritage lifestyle, this month’s Free & Easy magazine examines the living spaces of some key individuals including New York investor, Stephen Globus. There were plenty of spaces covered, but most profiles were written completely in Japanese and I couldn’t really take enough from the text to tell you who they were. But the photos were great!

As a precursor to their highly anticipated SubPop/Hozac release later on this month, Dum Dum Girls have recently released Blissed Out, a cassette tape compilation of all the songs that they have released to date. Considering that the only tape player that I own is in my car, this cassette will probably get the most attention amongst the stack of CDs swimming in my glove compartment. Out now via Art Fag Recordings…that is, unless it hasn’t sold out.

I always seem to gravitate towards old habits. Before the end of last year, I promised that I would retire the beanie in 2010. What was I thinking? That’s like George Burns without a cigar. I bought this cap a few days ago from the kind folks at 5&aDime. Can’t go wrong with these. Light, great fitting and perfect for the cold days here in San Diego.
