August 17, 2012Hailing from East London, King Krule—whose real name is Archy Marshall—started making music when he was eight after his mom’s boyfriend floated him some records and recording equipment. Sonically, he’s both Chet “JR” White (Girls) and Clams Casino. Released last Fall, his Self Titled EP is a five-song introduction of what we should be expecting from the 17-year old singer/songwriter/producer. For those living in Europe, he’ll be making a few festival appearances including Beacon’s, Bestival and Festival Number 6. North American dates are TBA. Let’s just hope that there’s a west coast leg on his next visit. This is good stuff.
