Wildwood Trail. Portland, Oregon

Earlier today, I spent the late afternoon making my way up the Wildwood Trail in Portland’s Forrest Park. I must admit, going up this path was a good indication of how out of shape I am. Seriously, I think I broke a sweat 30 yards in. For you Nike heads out there, this is the very trail that gave name to the Nike Air Wildwood ACG.
Our hike destination was Pittock Mansion, about a 20 minute stroll each way. The first quarter of the hike is probably the only remotely difficult part of the trail. The rest of the path slowly winds its way up to the top along a narrow fern-lead trail. On a clear day like today, you can pretty much see all of Portland sprawled out in front Mt Hood. Horay for nature.
