The Car Collection of Wallace “Wally” Lewis
June 12, 2011Last Friday, Andrew brought us all out to check out the Wallace Lewis car collection. With the success of his trailer parts distribution company, Lewis was able to build the 85-car collection that “meant the world” to him. The collection of classics was made up of Bel Airs, Mustangs, Impalas, Corvettes, and Early Ford V-8s from a variety of different years.
On Saturday, the collection was up for auction in Northeast Portland. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, his family decided that it was time to sell. Bummer to see the collection go. I just hope that the cars find owners that care for them as much as Wally did.

This Chevy Malibu was my favorite. Imagine. Windows down, Big Sur, “California” Burritos and a cooler full of Pliny the Elder.
