Mayfair Set and Dirty Beaches

Here are two records that I’ve picked up this past week. One my favorite parts of the day is being able to listen to music just before calling it a night. The record on the left is from The Mayfair Set, a collaborative effort by Dum Dum Girl’s Dee Dee Penny and Blank Dogs’ Mike Sniper. It’s a 2009 release by Captured Tracks that I’m glad was still available. On the right is the latest release by Montreal’s Dirty Beaches, True Blue. Available now via Zoo Music.

Headed to Los Angeles today for a 10-hour vacation to catch up with some old friends and at the same time, to get a breath of fresh air (ironically in LA). Have a great day.
