On my desk: Lovewright Co’s Humphrey Jersey & Converse’s Matchpoint
March 30, 2010The folks at the Lovewright Company were kind enough to make my dreams come true when they floated me their Humphrey Jersey [from their Spring 2010 collection]. I’ve had my eye on this piece ever since I saw it in its earlier sample stages. I’m hoping that they keep this silhouette for the upcoming seasons. I’ve always been a fan of the collegiate-style aesthetic and this piece definitely follows through. Now, all it needs is a fight song.
These Converse “Matchpoints” will probably get the most wear for the next couple of weeks. When Visvim released the Paiks a few years ago, I always wondered why more shoe companies never really used the unfinished side of leather. Its all about texture here. I’m into this. At $80, these aren’t too detrimental to the wallet, no? Style has nothing to do with price.
