Oceanside, CA to Downtown San Diego. 80 Miles on a fixed gear

Every time I see my friend Allan (right) riding his bike Downtown, chances are, he’d probably rode over 20 miles to get there. On this occasion, he was coming from Oceanside on a President’s Day ride with his friend Lucas. This is about 40 miles each way… on a fixed gear… with a healthy dosage of uphill action along Torrey Pines. Yikes!
