On my desk: Odeur 53 by Martine Pallix for Comme des Garcons
January 31, 2010Martine Pallix must have been in a really good mood when she formulated Odeur 53 for Comme des Garçons 11 years ago. Reminiscent of an airy morning stroll in a place far away from the industrial smells of a city, Odeur 53 derives its name from the 53 notes used by perfumers to describe its non-traditional scent. A bit passive, its almost like wearing an invisible blanket of fresh air, and in my opinion, this is a scent for those who don’t want to smell like they are wearing one. Its subtle characteristics make it tempting to drench on… but who wants to be that guy at a party?
