Holiday gift ideas and Just three simple things… please?
December 22, 2009
Season’s Greetings! I’m hoping that Mr Claus would leave these three items at my apartment on Friday morning. From L-R: Monocle x Porter Boston Bag, Technics SL-1200 and Oliver Peoples’ Sheldrake frames in the Rococo colorway. Below are a few stocking stuffer ideas that will hopefully boost your gift-giving enthusiasm. Only 3 shopping days left!

Far vedere l’aria / Air Made Visible: A Visual Reader on Bruno Munari via Lars Müller Publishers, $65. Wish You Were Here by Eric Elms via AndPress Publishing, $16.

These are two of my favorite records of 2009. Best Coast showed us how to love, and Wavves taught us how to deal with extreme boredom. Ahhh, the Summer of ’09. I’m curious to see how they’ll both develop through the next year. The Best Coast 7″ is available now via Art Fag Recordings and Wavves’ Wavvves is available now via Fat Possum.
Do your parents still use a VCR? Mine do. New Fangled print by Gary Benzel and
Todd St John. 18″ X 24″ 2-color silkscreen, signed. Available at Igloo Store. $85

Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs put their minds together to create the Braun AB1 Alarm Clock. Still widely available since its birth in 1971, the clock has proven that it’s the king of portability and timeless design. No pun intended. $45 at the MoMa Store.

Designed by Build, this lithograph was printed in honor of Gary Hustwit’s industrial design film, Objectified. 27″ x 39″. $20
