BLENDS x Converse 1HUND(RED) One Star release reception in San Diego

For those who may not know, I work for the San Diego chapter of the sneaker/lifestyle shop, BLENDS. Tomorrow, October 22nd at 7PM, we will be releasing our collaborative project with the Converse 1HUND(RED) Artists program. The Converse One Star is one of my ALL TIME favorite sneakers and I was definitely excited to hear that we would be working on them for this important cause. 726 Market St. San Diego, 92101. 619-233-6126

The shoe was designed and conceptualized by Tak Kato and Mike Toe, co-owners and creative minds behind BLENDS. Please join us tomorrow evening at 7PM for our release reception. Receptions will also be held at the Costa Mesa and Los Angeles locations on October 23rd and 24th respectively. A global release at select retailers will also be made soon after.

Converse 1HUND(RED) is a year-long global curation project designed to further support their partnership with (RED). For 1HUND(RED), Converse commissioned 100 musicians, graphic and graffiti artists from all over the world to create one-of-a-kind sneaker designs inspired by the global fight against HIV and AIDS in Africa.
