El Ten Eleven Plays the ‘Objectified’ After Party at Subtext
July 9, 2009
Following the San Diego screening of Gary Hustwit’s Objectified, Subtext will be hosting an after party featuring a live performance by El Ten Eleven (from the films soundtrack).
Objectified is a feature-length documentary about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them. It’s a look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. It’s about the designers who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis. It’s about personal expression, identity, consumerism, and sustainability.
Attendees will be treated with a post-film discussion lead by Gary Hustwit, who will, of course, be in attendance. Friday, July 10th, 7pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art. 700 Prospect Street. La Jolla, CA 92037.
